  German TV Magazine Covers JW Child Abus

  about 45min ago - on short notice -, german tv magazine kontraste ( http://www.kontraste.de) broadcasted a very well researched report on child abuse within the jw community.

  the report was only 10min long, but it was german prime time - the very first topic after the most watched daily news magazine.

  kontraste (contrasts) is very reputable tv magazine.. two victims were interviewed and a jw spokesman.

  You know If you want something bad enough there's always a way

  1. Copy the file to your computer
  2. Open the file
  3. Click on PrtScn to copy the screen image to your clipboard
  4. Open an image editing program like Paint Shop Pro (Paint will probably do it too)
  5. Save this image

  Now what you will have in the imaging program is a picture of what was on your screen. It will cut off the bottom of the letter. Go back to the pdf file and scroll down the page until you have the next part of the letter. Repaet steps 3-5 until you have the whole letter.

  You can crop the image to get just the letter part. You can also add the right pieces together to get one whole page. Save the page images. Then

  Print the image.

  Scan the image back into your but use the OCR program to convert the image to a text file.

  If you can't get to this I will try it later tonight. You will need an OCR program that converts to German text (which I doubt I have but you never know).

  I hope so Imbue. The forum is available for those who are still in or who don't want family or friends to know they are posting. And for many just knowing there is privacy to say what they want (for some it will be the first time) is really important

  DO YOU FEEL GUILTY ?

  one of the positive things about this board is the ability to express opinions and feelings.have you ever felt guilty for doing or saying something because of witness ignorance?

  i remember many years ago disfellowshipping a terminally ill older woman because she chose to live with her disfellowshipped "apostate" daughter who was caring for her.

  this still haunts me and makes me realize the unbelievable power elders can have.

  Minimus Sadly even elders were given instructions that those who chose to associate with "apostates" were to be shunned. You were following orders. Telling you not to feel guilty is absurd. Rather be a little kind with yourself. Even in your mistakes God loves you and forgives.

  Sadly I shunned an uncle and friends. But now that I am out we have reconnected. We all understand we were acting in ways that were not "authentically us". Now that we can choose we make healthier choices.

  To get a text copy of a pdf file

  1. print the pdf file
  2. scan the file back into the computer and OCR it (covert to editable text.
  3. save as text file

  it is a bit of work but is fairly easy

  of 10-1-77 asks if an unbelieving husband admitted that he had another woman, is his admission sufficient ground for a scriptural divorce.the response was"though for the sake of his reputation he might not be willing to own up to it in a court of law or before other persons.what can the wife do?

  since she is part of the clean christian congregation, she should realize the importance of handling the matter properly.

  Thank you Kismet I had forgotten about the Oasis. It is available for those who need it. For those who require a little more privacy feel free to contact me. These new forums are entirely closed to the public and cannot been seen or read by anyone without the URL and passwords.

  It is wonderful that there are so many options now. When I left the borg there was nothing (at least that I knew of)

  Waiting

  for so many year - decades I thought I was alone. It was just my family in the WTS that was so screwed up. I am stunned there are so many similar caes. They led me to believe that I was an isolted case. Just like the abuser who convinces one sister he isn't abusing the other sister the WT is no better. They tried to convince each one of us we were alone.

  Well victims grow up and the truth comes out and once the sisters (and brothers) start talking they is not too many places to continue to hide. They will try but it won't work anymore. There are too many of us speaking out
